🔐 Role Overview

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Security Engineer for one of our premier clients in Denver. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in network security, possessing deep knowledge of platforms like Zscaler, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and SASE technologies. If you're passionate about securing critical infrastructure and mentoring teams, this is your opportunity to shine! ✨

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Security SME, mentor junior engineers, and take ownership of technical environments.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve advanced security and network issues.
  • Maintain firewall solutions (Zscaler, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point) across diverse networks.
  • Document security procedures and ensure policy compliance.
  • Respond to and remediate network alerts and incidents from various sources.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and shift-based support as required.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years in networking, telecom, security engineering, or operations.
  • Strong hands-on with Zscaler, Palo Alto (Prisma/NGFW), Fortinet, and Check Point firewalls.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Unix/Linux system and network administration experience.
  • Expertise in SASE, WAF, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DNS security, Endpoint Detection, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a diverse team environment.
  • Experience in lab testing and network validation environments.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

🎓 Preferred Certifications

  • ✅ Professional: CISSP, CISM, or CISA
  • ✅ Vendor: Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet FCP, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Zscaler certs
