🧾 Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Access and VBA Database Administrator to join our team in Cleveland, OH. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Access-based solutions while automating business tasks and improving operational efficiency through custom interfaces and Office integration.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Access databases and applications.
  • Write and debug VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) code to automate tasks and enhance functionality.
  • Create user-friendly forms, queries, and reports supporting critical business workflows.
  • Integrate Access with Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Conduct data analysis, validation, transformation, and migration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues while ensuring data integrity and high performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement customized solutions.
  • Document processes, technical specifications, user guides, and change logs.

🛠️ Good to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Visual Basic (VB6 or VB.NET) for desktop application development.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, ODBC connections, or Power BI dashboards.
  • Understanding of Access Runtime deployment and version control.
  • Background in a relevant business domain such as finance, logistics, or manufacturing.

  • 6+ years of experience in database development and administration using Microsoft Access and VBA.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop automation in Excel, Access, and other Office tools.
