🧠 Job Summary:

Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise security systems, frameworks, and governance practices to safeguard information assets.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, evaluate, and implement security systems and controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Install and manage firewalls, encryption technologies, and IDS tools.
  • Develop incident response plans and forensic investigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and leadership to mitigate security risks.
  • Oversee SOC operations, data protection policies, and threat detection tools.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for threat monitoring and response.
  • Participate in audits and regulatory compliance reviews (SOC I/II, PCI, SOX).
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging cybersecurity technologies and tools.

✅ Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and IT security operations.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC preferred.
  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and other security standards.
  • Experience with RSA Archer and vendor risk assessments.
  • Expertise in network architecture, IAM, encryption, and endpoint protection.
  • Proven ability to manage high-impact incidents and remediation processes.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Windows, Linux, Cloud (AWS/Azure) environments.
