🔎 About the Role:

Client is looking for a talented Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineer to join our security operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring WAF solutions to protect enterprise applications and services from evolving threats. This position is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in WAF platforms like Imperva, F5, or FortiWeb, with a solid grasp of cloud and network security fundamentals.

🔐 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect digital infrastructure.
  • Monitor security events, analyze logs, and perform WAF tuning.
  • Implement OWASP best practices for application threat prevention.
  • Support firewall configurations and network access controls.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and application teams for secure deployments.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.

✅ Required Skills & Technologies:

  • Strong experience with WAF platforms such as Imperva, F5, FortiWeb, NetScaler.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, web application security, and threat modeling.
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis tools.
  • Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP) preferred.
  • Basic scripting or automation (Python, Bash) a plus.

🎯 Desired Profile:

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and WAF operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and performance monitoring skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
